Call for Papers [REMINDER] 4th Filomena Workshop University of Bergen Bergen, Norway, October 15-16, 2019 Submission deadline: June 30rd Notification deadline: July 15th The 4th of the FILOMENA Workshop (Philosophy, Logic and Analytic Metaphysics) has the purpose of gathering logicians working at the intersection of Logic and Metaphysics, through the application of formal methods in Philosophy. Our keynote speakers are: Daniel Durante (UFRN, Brazil) Michaela Mcsweeney (Boston University, USA) Peter Verdée (UCLouvain, Belgium) Topics of interest for our workshop include, but are not limited to: - Logic and Metaphysics - Philosophical topics in non-classical logics - The metaphysical commitment(s) of logic(s) - Formal approaches to metaontology - Demarcating logic and science - Abductivism in logic The workshop will allow 45 minutes for each contributed talk, divided into 30 minutes for exposition followed by 15 minutes of discussion. Abstracts should be written in English, have at most 500 words and be prepared for blind review. Please include relevant information about the author (name, e-mail address, and scientific affiliation) in the body of the email. Please submit an editable file (such as .doc, .odt, .tex) along with a .pdf file of your abstract to the email filomenaworkshop@gmail.com. The submissions deadline is June 30rd and you should expect a notification by July 15th. A model of the abstract in .tex is is available at https://goo.gl/HGxjzu. Participants will be invited to submit to the proceedings, which will be published as a special edition of the journal ?Principia: an international journal of epistemology? ( https://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/principia/index). There are three bursaries available to the amount of 5000 NOK each, which are available to early career researchers.
