Assistant Professor in Computer Science
Enthusiastic individuals are sought to make a major contribution to the
Department?s activities in teaching and research. You will hold a PhD or
equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline. You will have an
outstanding academic record, with indicators such as publications in
top-tier conferences and journals, significant software artefact design
and implementation, and academic awards. You will have a strong commitment
to undergraduate and postgraduate education.
This is an opportunity to join one of the UK?s most prominent and
research-active Computer Science departments and to be part of an exciting
time of growth in the Department.
All applications will be considered on their merits. As the Department is
committed to increasing the representation of women among its academic
staff, female candidates are especially encouraged. Applications that are
on a part-time or other flexible working basis are welcome.
In addition to a completed application form, candidates should submit four documents:
1. a cover letter, outlining merits and most significant achievements;
2. a research statement;
3. a teaching statement;
4. a Curriculum Vitae with a list of publications, where up to five most
important publications are highlighted.

Applicants invited for an interview will need to ensure that each of their
three referees emails a letter of recommendation to the Departmental
