PhD student position in Artificial Intelligence, Mannheim (Germany)
The Data and Web Science Research Group at the University of Mannheim is
offering a position of a
PhD Student / Researcher in Artificial Intelligence (E13 full position)
The duration of the position is 3 years with an initial probation period
of 6 months. Candidates are expected to have a master's degree in Computer
Science or a related field ideally with a focus on Artificial
Intelligence. We will only consider candidates with very good grades. The
position requires very good programming skills, proficiency of English in
reading and writing and proven knowledge in at least one of the following
topics:
- argumentation theory
- graph algorithms / network analysis
- machine learning / data mining
- natural language processing
We offer the opportunity to work in an internationally visible research
group on Artificial Intelligence in the context of a research project
funded by the national science foundation with the opportunity of
performing PhD studies as part of the position. This includes the
possibility to publish own research results and attend international
