Oberassistenzstelle (3+3 Jahre)

Am Philosophischen Seminar der Universit�t Z�rich ist ab dem 1. Februar 
2018 (oder nach Vereinbarung) im Bereich der Theoretischen Philosophie 
eine Oberassistenzstelle zu besetzen.

Der Besch�ftigungsgrad betr�gt zun�chst 50%, ab September 2018 ist eine 
Erh�hung des Besch�ftigungsgrads auf 100% vorgesehen. Die Stelle ist 
zun�chst auf drei Jahre befristet ? es besteht die Option auf eine 
Verl�ngerung um drei Jahre.

Aufgaben: ��* Selbstst�ndige Forschung im Bereich der Theoretischen 
Philosophie (Habilitationsprojekt oder �quivalentes Projekt)
   * Durchf�hrung von zwei Lehrveranstaltungen pro Semester (vier 
Semesterwochenstunden ab dem Herbstsemester 2018)
   * Unterst�tzung des Philosophischen Seminars in Lehre und Forschung

Voraussetzungen:
��� ? hervorragende Promotion im Bereich der Theoretischen Philosophie
��� ? sehr gute Deutsch- und/oder Englischkenntnisse
��� ? Sozialkompetenz

Es wird eine regelm�ssige Pr�senz am Seminar erwartet. Zus�tzlich zu den 
Bewerbungsunterlagen (Motivationsschreiben, CV, Ver�ffentlichungen, 
Vortr�ge, Lehrveranstaltungen, wichtigste Zeugnisse, keine Schriften) wird 
um eine Beschreibung des aktuellen akademischen Projekts sowie um die 
Angabe von zwei Referenzpersonen gebeten, die vertraulich um Informationen 
angefragt werden k�nnen. Die Unterlagen (geb�ndeltes PDF-Dokument) sind in

The Institute of Philosophy at the University of Zurich invites 
applications for the post of

Senior Teaching and Research Assistant

to be filled from the 1st of February 2018 (or as agreed) in the area of 
Theoretical Philosophy.

At the start the employment level is 50%; from September 2018 there is the 
possibility to raise the employment level up to 100%. The post is for 
three years in the first instance, but can be extended for another three 
years.

Job description: ��� ? research project in the area of Theoretical 
Philosophy (a Habilitation or equivalent output) ��� ? teaching: two 
courses each semester (four contact hours per week from fall semester 
2018) ��� ? assisting the Institute of Philosophy in teaching and research

Prerequisites: ��� ? outstanding PhD in the area of Theoretical Philosophy 
��� ? very good knowledge of German and/or English ��� ? high social 
skills

Regular presence at the Institute of Philosophy is demanded. The 
application material should contain: Letter of motivation, CV, list of 
publications, list of courses taught, copies of the most important degree 
certificates names (no writing samples). In addition, please submit a 
research plan and contact details of two references that could be 
contacted electronically.
