Continuing, full-time position, $93,336 to $110,619 per annum (Level B),

The School of Humanities offers an exciting and challenging academic
program covering the disciplines of Philosophy & Religious Studies,
Classics & Ancient History, Archaeology, History, Indigenous Studies, Peace
Studies and Political & International Studies. Philosophy, established in
1954, has a long and well- established tradition of high quality teaching
and internationally recognised research. Currently the School is seeking a
dynamic academic for the role of Lecturer in the Philosophy of Science.

About the role

The successful candidate will be a collegial and productive individual with
a passion for teaching and research in the field of Philosophy of Science
and Logic. The incumbent will collaborate with staff in the discipline of
Philosophy & Religious Studies to enhance the discipline's research profile
and community engagement, and work with staff across the School.

Duties

Teach Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Social Science and Logic at all
levels of tertiary education. Teach Critical Thinking. Be available to
teach both on campus and online. Produce research publications and apply
for competitive grants. Supervise Honours and Higher Degree Research
students. Complete administrative duties commensurate with the position of
Lecturer Level B. Engage with staff in Philosophy and Religious Studies and
across the School of Humanities

Skills & Experience

As a Lecturer in Philosophy you will have:

   *   A PhD (awarded) in Philosophy
   *   Demonstrated ability to teach Philosophy of Science, Logic, Critical
Thinking and the Philosophy of Social Science
   *   A demonstrated research profile commensurate with a Lecturer Level B
and a commitment to attracting competitive grants
   *   A commitment to team work and administrative duties
