Deadline Extension: June, 12th (new date) _______________________________________________________________________ 1st Workshop XCI: Explainable Computational Intelligence (XCI 2017) _______________________________________________________________________ Workshop web page: http://xci2017.arg.tech/ XCI: Explainable Computational Intelligence is a workshop of the 10th International Natural Language Generation Conference (INLG 2017) to be held in Santiago de Compotela (Galiza, Spain), September 4-7, 2017. -------------------------------------------------------- CALL FOR PAPERS -------------------------------------------------------- Nowadays, Computational Intelligence (CI) applications have achieved an outstanding autonomous degree in their behaviour, but, at the same time, their complexity has been dramatically increased. Thus, for a human user, trust in the results provided by these systems is matter of faith instead of argued decision. The main aim of this workshop is to promote the collaboration among researchers from the CI field and NLG related fields for the development of more understandable CI systems. The workshop invites the submission of short papers (e.g., on work in progress, system demonstrations, opinion pieces, etc.) about the proposed topics. ******************** TOPICS OF INTEREST ******************** Topics of interest (but are not limited to): - Argumentation Theory for CI systems - Content planning - Data-to-text generation from CI systems - Fuzzy linguistic summarization - Interpretability in CI systems - Linguistic Description of Complex Phenomena - NLG and argumentation - NLG for CI systems ************************* INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS ************************* Authors should submit anonymous short papers (maximum 4 pages length plus an additional page for references) following the two-column format of ACL proceedings (NAACL). The use of the ACL style files is mandatory, since the proceedings will be included in the ACL anthology. Reviewing will be double-blind (author's names, affiliations and self-references revealing author's identity should be removed) and submission selection will be managed by programme committee members. Final decisions on the technical programme will be made by the PC chairs. Authors of accepted papers will be invited to participate in a collaborative position paper to be submitted to a high impact international journal about the ideas discussed during XCI.
