A late notification to say that sadly Professor Barry Hartley Slater 
(better known as Hartley), long term member of the University of Western 
Australia Philosophy Department, died after a short illness on 8th July, 
2016.  Hartley was an active contributor to many journals, particularly in 
Logic and Aesthetics, and an enthusiastic contributor at conferences. 
Hartley was also engaged in many spheres of life outside academia. A lover 
of music and art, an accomplished piano player and a long-term member of 
his local croquet club. He will be sadly missed.
