Fixed Term (six years) College Lectureship and Fellowship in Mathematics, held
in association with research post in the Department of Mathematics.
Murray Edwards College invites applications for a fixed-term (six years)
College Lectureship in Mathematics from 1 September 2017. The person appointed
will be elected to an Official Fellowship for this period. This post will be
held in association with a Senior Research Associate post in the Department of
Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. The post is for six years in the
first instance due to available funding, but there may be the possibility for
renewal.
The post holder will be expected to supervise for six hours a week for the 20
teaching weeks of the academic year. In addition, they will direct studies for
students taking Mathematics in Murray Edwards College, for which there is
separate remuneration. Within the Department, the post holder will give one
complete lecture course per year and will also be involved in examining. They
will also be expected to continue their own research.
It is expected that the person appointed to this role will be relatively
experienced; as such, the appointment will be made within the range determined
by Spine Point 49 and Spine Point 57 of the University scale (currently £38,896
to £49,230) according to experience and qualifications.
