The aim of the AVoCS workshop series is to contribute to the interaction and exchange of ideas among members of the international research community on tools and techniques for the verification of critical systems. In 2016, FMICS and AVoCS join their forces to hold a workshop combining their themes on formal methods and automated verification. For FMICS, this is the 21st, for AVoCS the 16th edition. FMICS-AVoCS encourages the submissions of research ideas in order to stimulate discussions at the workshop. Reports on ongoing work or surveys on work published elsewhere are welcome. The Program Committee will select research ideas on the basis of submitted abstracts according to their significance and general interest. Authors of the best full papers and of excellent and novel research ideas will be invited to submit a journal version of their work to a special issue of the International Journal on Software Tools for Technology Transfer. IMPORTANT DATES Submission of research ideas: August 10, 2016 Notification for research ideas: August 17, 2016 FMICS-AVoCS workshop: September 26-28, 2016 SUBMISSION Research ideas must be written in English and should be submitted as PDF files: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=fmicsavocs2016 Research ideas should not exceed 3 pages.
