Postdoctoral position in temporal issues (14m), Milan (Italy), Deadline: 2 Sep 2016

Post-doc (14 months) at the Centre for Philosophy of Time, TIME-METHODS
Project.

We are looking for a researcher who has a research specialism in *temporal
issues *with respect to at least one of the following areas: metaphysics,
philosophy of mind, philosophy of language and philosophy of science. This
is the *second* of two calls for *Post-Docs*. Ideally we aim at making one
hire with an area of research specialism in the *metaphysics *of time, and
one hire with an area of research specialism in temporal aspects
within *philosophy
of mind*. PhD is strongly preferred.

The call will be out till Friday, *September 2*. The interview will take
place in September.

Besides your *CV *and *list of relevant* *publications*, we will ask for a *1
page letter of interest* and a *2** page research project*. The research
project should include details of the research themes you will be focusing
on in the period of hiring, and how your research may connect with
TIME-METHODS <http://www.centreforphilosophyoftime.it/time-methods/> (and
have a look at TEMP-FRAME
<http://www.centreforphilosophyoftime.it/temp-frame/> too).

Please, note that you need to send *all* documents listed in the official
text of the call, not only those three. More specifically:

    1. The *application form,* according to the template you find at p. 6-7
    of the official call (English version), signed and scanned.
    2. *Degree* with final mark. [*If you don?t have an original version* (in
    Italian or English), it is sufficient to fill-in, print, sign, scan and
    send the pdf of the ?self-certification?, according to template in
    Enclosure 1. If your degree is not in Italian or English, you must provide
    a translation into Italian or English (along with a ?self-certification?,
    according to template in Enclosure 1).]
    3. *PhD Degree*. [If you have it. It is not a necessary condition for
    the validity of the submission. If you are about to obtain it, state all
    details in the CV.]
    4. Scientific qualifications, diplomas, scholarships, attendance of
    post-graduate courses. [Only if relevant for the application. They are not
    a necessary condition for the validity of the submission.]
    5. Publications. [This means a *LIST of relevant publications*, with
    link to downloadable versions when available. You do *not* need to send
    the pdf of all your publications.]
    6. *Curriculum* of scientific activities.
    7. A *letter of interest* (1 page) and a *research project* (2 page
    max.) that shows the relevance of your competences in temporal issues with
    respect to at least one of the following areas: metaphysics, philosophy of
    mind, philosophy of language, philosophy of science. [If you wish, you can
    add references to people who can provide recommendation letters.]

Duration of the grant is *14 months*.

Neat salary slightly over *1.850 ?* per month.

Residence in Milan for the period of employment is required.

The activities of the CPT are in English. While a good level of English is
required, knowledge of Italian is not.
