Invitation to attend: Workshop on Correlated Information Change 24 - 26 November 2014, Amsterdam. http://www.illc.uva.nl/LogiCIC14/ Via this workshop, we are creating a forum to present new developments, exchange ideas, explore and establish new connections between different areas that have already developed techniques to model correlated information change in a multi-agent context. The types of correlated information change that we are interested in, covers a list of phenomena studied in a number of areas such as: Game Theory, Logic, Belief Revision Theory, Formal Epistemology, Social Science, Formal Learning Theory, AI (Multi-agent Systems) and the Foundations of Quantum Physics. Topics of focus will include, but are not limited to the study of formal models for: * Correlated belief change; * Classical versus non-classical correlations; * Communication and observation in social scenario's; * Rational interaction, decision-making and planning in a multi-agent setting; * Social-informational phenomena such as pluralistic ignorance, informational cascades, group polarization etc. Everyone is warmly invited to attend our workshop (note: there is no registration fee, but please do register via the website) THE LIST OF SPEAKERS INCLUDES: ---------------------------------------------- * Bolander, Thomas (Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen, Denmark); * Brandenburger, Adam (NYU Stern School of Business, New York, USA); * Christoff, Zoe (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands); * Friedenberg, Amanda (Arizona State University, Tempe, USA); * Galeazzi, Paolo (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands); * Gierasimczuk, Nina (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands); * Hansen, Jens Ulrik (Lund University, Sweden); * Liu, Yongmei (Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China); * Lorini, Emiliano (University of Toulouse, France); * Olsson, Erik J. (Lund University, Sweden); * Perea, Andres (Maastricht University, The Netherlands); * Rafiee Rad, Soroush (Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, Germany); * Rendsvig, Rasmus K. (Lund University, Sweden); * Sano, Katsuhiko (Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Japan); * Seligman, Jeremy (University of Auckland, New Zealand); * Smets, Smets (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands); * Wooldridge, Michael (Oxford University, United Kingdom); * Yamada, Tomoyuki (Hokkaido University, Japan); * Zollman, Kevin (Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA). MAIN LOCAL ORGANIZER: ---------------------------------- Smets, Sonja (The Institute for Logic, Language and Computation, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands) **** This workshop is the third event in the series of LogiCIC workshops in Amsterdam: http://www.illc.uva.nl/LogiCIC14/. The workshop is sponsored by the LogiCIC project (ERC-2011-STG No. 283963), on 'The Logical Structure of Correlated Information Change' funded by the European Research Council and the European Community under FP7; and by the VIDI Project, on 'Reasoning about quantum interaction: Logical modelling and verification of multi-agent quantum protocols' funded by the Netherlands Organization of Scientific Research. ****
