CALL FOR PAPERS SIFA 2014 Italian Society for Analytic Philosophy (SIFA) University of L'Aquila, Department of Humanities *FILOSOFIA, ANALISI, IMPEGNO PUBBLICO* *PHILOSOPHY, ANALYSIS AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT* Eleventh National Conference of the Italian Society for Analytic Philosophy (SIFA) L'Aquila, 3-5 September 2014 The main purpose of the eleventh International Conference of the Italian Society for Analytic Philosophy (SIFA) is to show that philosophy can provide the conceptual tools to answer public and social challenges. Along with this main goal, there will be space for papers in any area of analytic philosophy. The Conference will be held in L'Aquila, September 3-5, 2014. We invite submissions on the following areas: Philosophy of language, Metaphysics, Epistemology, Ethics and metaethics, Philosophy of science, Philosophy of logic, Philosophy of mathematics, Philosophy of law, Political philosophy, Philosophy of mind, Aesthetics, Philosophy of religion, History of philosophy, History of science. *VENUE* University of L'Aquila Department of Human Sciences Viale Nizza, 14 - 67100 L'Aquila *INVITED SPEAKERS* Maria Baghramian (University College Dublin) Helen Beebee (University of Manchester) Ian Carter (University of Pavia) Beate Roessler (University of Amsterdam) ... and others to be included ... *SUBMISSIONS* Contributors will have 40 minutes, ideally divided into 30 minutes of exposition and 10 minutes of discussion. The languages of the conference are English and Italian. Those wishing to make a presentation should submit: A short abstract (about 200 words) A long abstract (1000-1500 words) Long abstract should be thoroughly prepared for blind refereeing, with any and all revealing references to the author removed, including personal acknowledgments.
