Quebec City QC, Canada
It's a pleasure to invite you to attend, and submit a paper to, the seventh annual conference on Artificial General Intelligence (AGI?14), which will take place in Quebec City, August 1?4, 2014. And it's also our pleasure to inform you that, in response to multiple requests, the paper submission deadline for AGI-14 has been extended till April 1. See the conference website here: http://agi-conf.org/2014 [http://agi-conf.org/2014] The AGI conference series is the premier international event aimed at advancing the state of knowledge regarding the original goal of the AI field ? the creation of thinking machines with general intelligence at the human level and possibly beyond. As in prior AGI conferences, we welcome submission of papers on all aspects of AGI R&D, with the key proviso that each paper should somehow contribute specifically to the development of Artificial General Intelligence. Two types of papers will be accepted: * Regular papers, with a length limit of 10 pages, presenting new research results or rigorously describing new research ideas * Short technical communications, with a limit of 4 pages, summarizing results and ideas of interest to theAGI audience, including reports about recent publications, position papers, and preliminary results. Keynotes will include: * Yoshua Bengio [http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~bengioy/yoshua_en/index.html], University of Montreal: Deep Learning for AI * Alexander Wisner-Gross [http://www.alexwg.org/], Harvard University & MIT, The Thermodynamics of AGI * Richard Granger, [http://www.dartmouth.edu/~rhg/] Dartmouth College, on AGI and the Brain AGI-14 will also include a Workshop on AGI & Cognitive Science [http://agi-conf.org/2014/workshop-on-agi-and-cognitive-science/77f90c4?uri=aHR0cDovL2FnaS1jb25mLm9yZy8yMDE0L3dvcmtzaG9wLW9uLWFnaS1hbmQtY29nbml0aXZlLXNjaWVuY2Uv].
