Call for applications: Editor of Mind

Mind: Appointing New Editorship

The Mind Association solicits expressions of interest regarding the appointment of a new Editorial
team for the quarterly journal, Mind, with handover planned for mid-2015.

Initial expressions of interest should be made by email to the Director, Prof Miranda Fricker at
mindassoc@gmail.com (cc m.fricker@sheffield.ac.uk) by 28th February 2014.

Thereafter, applicants will be invited to put together a concrete proposal. This might be for single or
joint editorship, within a single department or across more than one, so long as clear lines of
responsibility are worked out. The proposed associate editors must be seen to cover a suitably wide
range of specialisms in philosophy, in order to maintain and increase representation of the highest-
level work in any area of the discipline.

The Association will listen to terms proposed by all applicants, but expects to provide funds suitable
to cover a full-time administrator and some teaching buyout for the Editor(s).

Potential applicants may wish to note that the journal recently moved to ScholarOne online
submissions, and is published by Oxford University Press.
