ABSTRACT. The "Logic, Grammar, and Language" Conference explores the the multifarious
interactions between logic and natural language. We are interested to explore the relation(s) between
logic and natural language from empirical (linguistic), philosophical, and logical perspectives.

CALL FOR PAPERS:

We invite submissions on a broad range of topics related to the main theme of the conference.
Possible contributed topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

(a) The role of logical notions (e.g. entailment, contradiction) in linguistics/philosophy of language.

(b) Specific accounts of linguistic phenomena, e.g. quantification, binding, scope, modality,
conditionals, gradable adjectives etc..

(c) The consequences of adopting general semantic frameworks (e.g. truth-conditional semantics,
dynamic semantics etc.) for understanding the relation between logic and natural language.

(d) Does natural language validate classical rules of inference, e.g. modus ponens?

(e) Are linguistic logical forms (LFs) logical? Does any notion of compositionality imply that language
is logical in some interesting theoretical sense?

(f) The role of logic in the historical developments of generative linguistics and philosophy of
language.

(g) Is logicality a theoretical virtue of theories/accounts of language? Does language have a logic or
should we be pluralists about logic in natural language? What are the limits of conceiving language
as logical?

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

Authors are invited to submit an abstract of 100 words and an extended abstract of 1500 words (or
a full paper of up to 8000 words). Please prepare your documents for blind review and save your
extended abstract (or paper) as a PDF file. There are 8 slots for contributed papers, each of which
will be allocated 30 minutes for presentation, followed by a 15 minute discussion. We strongly
