Call for Papers PhiloSTEM-6: The Sixth Midwest Workshop in the Philosophy of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics 11-12 April, 2014, Fort Wayne, Indiana Department of Philosophy Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) This workshop continues the tradition of a friendly and open exchange of ideas and work in progress. We cordially invite submissions presenting novel contributions in the Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Technology/Engineering, or Philosophy of Mathematics (STEM). Submissions addressing historical aspects of the STEM areas will be considered, too. Since the emphasis is not on "reading" a paper but on having a dialogue with the participants, presentations should be prepared for a general audience in the philosophy of science, and presenters must be ready to break things down for non-specialists (select presentations may therefore take 90 minutes or more). Papers should not exceed 3000 words and be prepared for double-blind reviewing. Please, upload papers, along with an abstract (150 words), to EasyChair: http://tinyurl.com/submission-philoSTEM6 Deadline: February 1 Notifications: March 1 For a list of confirmed speakers and updates check: http://tinyurl.com/philostem Organization committee: Ioan Muntean imuntean@iu.edu<mailto:imuntean@iu.edu> Bernd Buldt buldtb@ipfw.edu<mailto:buldtb@ipfw.edu> Apologies for cross posting!
