Philosophy PhD Scholarship (Managing Severe Uncertainty)

The Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method at the London 
School of Economics and Political Science is offering a three-year 
scholarship for students commencing their MPhil/PhD in Philosophy in 
September 2013. The scholarship provides full tuition fees and living 
expenses of approximately 15K per year for the three years. The 
scholarship is attached to an AHRC funded research project on Managing 
Severe Uncertainty and successful candidates will be expected to pursue 
doctoral research into one of the areas covered by the research project: 
decision making under severe uncertainty, uncertainty in scientific 
modelling and the implications of scientific uncertainty for policy 
making. In addition, applicants must be UK or EU residents and meet the 
normal entry requirements for the MPhil/PhD in Philosophy. To be 
considered for the Philosophy PhD Scholarships, you must submit an 
application for the MPhil/PhD in Philosophy at the LSE no later than the 
15th June, including a research proposal which specifies the contribution 
of your proposed research to the project.
