W3 professorship in mathematical logic, Berlin (Germany)

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences II, Department of Mathematics, 
at the Humboldt-Universitaet zu Berlin invites applications for a

W3-Professorship in Pure Mathematics, in particular Mathematical Logics with 
possible focus in Algebraic Geometry, Arithmetic Geometry or Representation 
Theory

to begin as soon as possible with indefinite duration. Until March 31, 2016, 
the professorship will be financed from funds provided by the Program for 
Better Study Conditions and Higher Quality in Teaching with the aim of 
supporting equal chances for women in research and teaching. This professorship 
shall preferably assure the continuity of Mathematical Logic in research and 
teaching while allowing for further specifications in the fields of Algebraic 
Geometry, Arithmetic Geometry or Representation Theory. The successful 
candidate has an international reputation via her/his publications and public 
lectures as well as experience in teaching and supervising. External 
fundraising as well as cooperation with various network projects or graduate 
schools at our institute, the university and Berlin, respectively, are 
expected. Applicants must meet the legal requirements for appointments of 
professors in accordance with § 100 of the "Berliner Hochschulgesetz". HU 
seeks to increase the proportion of women in research and teaching, and 
specifically encourage qualified female researchers to apply. Applications of
