ALAN TURING JAAR IN NEDERLAND http://www.alanturing2012.nl/ The Dutch Alan Turing Year celebrations are reaching their highlight in three consecutive days of Turing celebration in Amsterdam: THURSDAY, 4 October 2012 Private performance of "Breaking the Code" by Hugh Whitemore for students and staff of FNWI, CWI, and SPA. Location: Cafe Oerknal, Science Park, Time: 17:00. Costs: free. Please register by sending an e-mail to info-science@uva.nl stating "play Alan Turing" as the subject. FRIDAY, 5 October 2012 Event turing100.nl at the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam (OBA). This is the annual meeting of the Dutch logic association VvL (Vereniging voor Logica). The meeting will include talks by Andrew Hodges, Liesbeth De Mol, Jan van Leeuwen, Antonina Kolokolova, and Bennie Mols, as well as a theatre performance of Hugh Whitemore's "Breaking the Code" in the Theater van 't Woord of the OBA. No registration is required, and the theatre performance is free for everyone, so please bring friends and family and advertise this to the general public, your neighbours and friends.
