New International Master Program

*MSc in Cognitive Science at Ruhr-University Bochum*

The Faculty of Psychology and the Institute for Philosophy II at the 
Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB) are glad to announce a new masters program in 
Cognitive Science, starting on October 15^th 2012. This 2-year curriculum 
is taught exclusively in English, and offers interdisciplinary approaches 
to central topics in the exciting and rapidly developing field of 
Cognitive Science. Guided by RUB's leading researchers in the area of 
Philosophy, Psychology, Psychiatry, Neural Computation and Neuroscience, 
students will learn to tackle both empirical and theoretical questions at 
the heart of the study of mind and cognition. The program provides them 
with hands-on experience with the main methods of each discipline 
(statistics and logic, behavioral studies, computational modeling, and 
neuroimaging) and at the same time offers them the opportunity to 
specialize in key topics such as social cognition, perception and action, 
memory and learning, and language and logic.

At RUB students will find the perfect academic environment for the 
interdisciplinary study of mind and cognition. There are several 
cooperative connections between the departments involved in this program, 
which are solidified in the Center for Mind Brain & Cognitive Evolution. 
The Center has many international fellows, so students will experience a 
dynamic international research environment.
