Tenure-track assistant professorship (all areas of mathematics), New York NY (U.S.A.)
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Hunter College, CUNY seeks
applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning
August 2012. All fields of mathematics will be considered. The successful
candidate will have the potential for excellence in research, be highly
effective as a teacher, and be willing to perform appropriate service to
the department, and to the university. The candidate should be comfortable
teaching courses at a variety of levels and in a variety of topics in
mathematics, and have a Ph.D. at the time the position starts. Salary will
be commensurate with the candidate?s qualifications and experience.
Applications should include a curriculum vita with a publication list, a
statement of future research plans, a statement on teaching experience and
philosophy, and minimally three letters of reference with at least one
letter addressing teaching experience and ability. Applications should be
