1st WFAP Graduate Conference 2012: "Nothing but the Truth" Vienna Forum for Analytic Philosophy University of Vienna Date: March 9-11, 2012 Topic: Truth Confirmed keynote speakers: Prof. Leon Horsten (Bristol) Prof. Paul Horwich (New York University) Prof. Jeffrey Ketland (Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy) The Vienna Forum for Analytic Philosophy, a student society for philosophical research in the analytic tradition at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Vienna, dedicates its first Graduate Conference in March 2012 to the topic of truth. We invite high-quality papers from graduate students on formal as well as classical issues concerning truth in analytic philosophy. In particular we welcome contributions on the following topics: - Axiomatic theories of truth - Deflationism - Truth and ordinary language - Truth in the history of Analytic Philosophy Submission Information: Deadline for submission of abstracts: December 15, 2011 Notification of acceptance: January 15, 2012 Extended abstracts of approximately 800 words should be prepared for blind review and submitted in PDF, RTF, ODT or DOC format to wfap.submissions@gmx.at. All abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Vienna Forum for Analytic Philosophy and faculty members of the Department of Philosophy of the University of Vienna. Accepted papers should be suitable for a 30-minute presentation (approx. 3000 words) and will be published online on the website of the Vienna Forum for Analytic Philosophy.
