Tenure-track assistant professorship in formal or empirical methods in social philosophy, Manhattan KS (U.S.A.), Deadline: 30 Nov 2011
Assistant Professor, Tenure Track, beginning August 2012. AOS: Open,
but the department has a special interest in philosophers who use
formal or empirical methods to address questions in ethics or social
and political philosophy, or who apply research in the social sciences
to address such questions. AOC: Open. Both PhD and ABD applicants
considered; however, dissertation must be completed by August 2012 for
appointment as assistant professor rather than instructor. Five
undergraduate courses per year, standard committee work. The
successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to and appreciation
for teaching students from diverse, multi-cultural backgrounds. Salary
will be commensurate with experience. Send application package (Letter
