The Center for Logic and Philosophy of Science (CLWF) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, decided to use the opportunity provided by having so many researchers working on the philosophy of mathematical practice in Brussels for the inaugural conference of the Association for the Philosophy of Mathematical Practice (APMP), and organize a small informal workshop on aspects of mathematical practice: Monday, 13 December 2010, 11-13 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel http://www.vub.ac.be/CLWF/workshop2010/ At this workshop, we'll have talks from cognitive science and sociology, one by Rafael Nunez (La Jolla CA) and one by Martina Merz (Luzern): http://www.cogsci.ucsd.edu/~nunez/web/ http://www.unilu.ch/eng/prof._dr._martina_merz_39558.html Everyone is cordially invited to (attend APMP 2010 and) come to the VUB for these talks.
