4 Full-Time Post-Doctoral Research Positions in Philosophy

The PERSP project (http://www.ub.edu/persp) invites applications for 4 
full-time post-doctoral research positions.

PERSP is a Spanish research network focusing on philosophical issues posed 
by 
the perspectival character of some thoughts and the facts they represent,
 
funded by the Consolider-Ingenio 2010 Scheme (Spanish Ministry of Science a
nd 
Innovation). Most PERSP members come from one of four well-established Span
ish 
groups (LOGOS, Universitat de Barcelona and Universitat de Girona,

Successful candidates will be expected to carry out original work and organ
ize 
activities contributing to some of the work-packages into which the project
 is 
divided (http://www.ub.edu/persp/?q=content/workpackages). They will be
 
assigned to one of the research groups developing the project and recruited
 by 
one of the institutions where they are based, depending on their interests 
and 
qualification.

The positions are funded for one to three years, preferably starting Octobe
r 
1st 2010, but extendable to January 1, 2011. The salary is up to EUR 40.000
 
before tax, depending on qualification. Candidates must have a completed Ph
D, 
good communication and managing skills, and a strong qualification in the
 
topics of the project. The main language of communication is English. They 
may 
be asked to teach a course per year.

into the corresponding Ph. D. program, to elaborate a Ph. D. dissertation
 
contributing to some of the work-packages into which the project is divided

to one 
of the research groups developing the project and recruited by one of the
 
institutions where they are based, depending on their interests and 
qualification, under one-year contracts (starting date: 1 October 2010) 
competitively renewable up to four if the candidate is accepted to the Ph. 
D. 
program. Net salaries are in the amount of 18.000.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in philosophy o
r 
cognate disciplines, to have good communication skills, and to have a prove
n 
proficiency in both spoken and written English. They should meet the 
requirements for enrolling in the Master and Ph. D. Program, under
