Postdoctoral fellowship in "Computational Logic and Combinatorial Optimization", West Virginia (U.S.A.)

West Virginia University, Lane Department of Computer Science and 
Electrical Engineering is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow to work in the 
areas of computational logic and combinatorial optimization. The 
successful candidate is expected to participate actively in research 
activities, including the drafting of research proposals and guiding 
graduate students.

An earned Ph.D. in computer science or mathematics with a commensurate 
record of archival publications is required. It is anticipated that the 
position will start in the Fall of 2009 and will continue for a period of 
twelve (12) months. Extension to this appointment is possible based on the 
successful candidate's performance and the availability of research 
funding.

WVU is a comprehensive land grant institution of over 26,000 students with 
medical, law, and business schools. The University has Carnegie 
Doctoral/Research-Extensive standing. The Lane Department has a close 
working relationship with and receives funding from a growing list of 
government and industry sources, such as DOE, DOD, NASA, NIOSH, NIJ, and 
DHS.
