Call For Papers
----------------
The Third Annual Workshop on Algorithms and Computation (WALCOM 2009)
February 18-20, 2009,
Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India
Scope
-----
The third International Workshop on Algorithms and Computation (WALCOM
2009) will take place in Kolkata, India, during February 18-20, 2009. The
workshop would be hosted by Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India.
The workshop is intended to provide a forum for researchers working in
algorithms and theory of computation. Papers presenting original research
in the areas of design and analysis of algorithms, computational
geometry, graph drawing and graph algorithms are sought. The topics
include but are not limited to:
algorithms and data structures
approximation algorithms
combinatorial algorithms
computational biology
computational geometry
experimental algorithm methodologies
graph drawing and graph algorithms
parallel and distributed algorithms
quantum computing
randomized algorithms
The conference proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in its
Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Selected papers from the
conference will be invited for publication in Theoretical Computer Science
(Elsevier), and will be published as part of a regular issue as per the
norms of the review process of the journal.
Submissions
------------
Papers reporting original research unpublished elsewhere, as well as
surveys of important results are welcome. Authors should submit an
extended abstract or a paper not exceeding 12 single-spaced pages on A4
(or US letter) paper, including references, figures, title, authors,
affiliations, e-mail addresses, and a short (one paragraph) abstract. Use
reasonable margins and at least 10-point font. Please use the LaTeX
