Three PhD student positions in Computer Science, Liverpool (U.K.)

Applications are invited for PhD positions at the Department of Computer 
Science of the University of Liverpool, UK. The Department has funds to 
support three PhD studentships to begin on or around September 2008.

(*) Two of these posts are EPSRC Doctoral Training Account studentships, 
and are only available to students who are resident in the UK; see 
http://www.epsrc.ac.uk/PostgraduateTraining/StudentEligibility.htm for 
details on eligibility.

(*) The other studentship (funded by the Department) is available to any 
candidate who is a citizen of an EU country.

The two that are available just for UK residents would support a student 
for up to four years (with an aim to finish in about three and a half 
years). The third one has funds for just three years; an extension may be 
possible but is not guaranteed.
