Call for Applications: Summer school with Robert B. Laughlin at the University of Tuebingen Robert B. Laughlin, physicist at Stanford and Nobel Laureate of 1998. Laughlin visits the FORUM SCIENTIARUM of Tuebingen University early May and, together with colleagues from Tuebingen (of philosophy and physics), he offers an interdisciplinary course on "Emergence and Reductionism" from May 5th through May 9th. We would like to ask you to hand possible candidates the attached call for applications (extended deadline is April 13). The Forum Scientiarum will cover course-related expenses, including travel, up to a maximum rate (see info-sheet) by means provided by the Udo Keller Foundation Forum Humanum. Accommodation is free. The summer school is part of this year's "Unseld Lecture at the FORUM SCIENTIARUM, Tuebingen University - initiated and sponsored by the Udo Keller Foundation Forum Humanum". The Forum Scientiarum is an institution of Tuebingen University to foster the dialogue between sciences and humanities in research as well as in teaching.
