3rd Cologne Summer School in Philosophy: "Meaning and its Place in Nature" (Ruth Garrett Millikan), 28 Jul - 1 Aug 2008

The Third Cologne Summer School in Philosophy on

"Meaning and its Place in Nature"

will take place in Cologne, July 28 -- August 1, 2008. This years 
visiting professor will be Ruth Garrett Millikan (University of 
Connecticut). The main focus will be on issues of the philosophy of mind,
 
language and biology, especially teleosemantics. The Summer School is 
targeted at professional philosophers, linguists, biologists and advanced
 
graduate students.

The event is limited to 50 participants  on the basis of motivation and
 
qualification. Online application is possible until April 30. Please add a
 
short letter of motivation and qualification to your application. Soon 
after the deadline has expired we will inform you about the outcome of 
your application. Attendance is free.
