Second Indian Winter School on Logic January 14-26, 2008, IIT Kanpur http://home.iitk.ac.in/~mohua/school/school.htm under the aegis of "Association for Logic in India" and sponsored by "The Association for Symbolic Logic" The Indian winter school on Logic is a biennial event. The first school was held during January 3-18, 2006, at IIT Bombay. The objective is to place before students and researchers of the country, some basics as well as active research areas in Logic. The plan this time is to concentrate on some themes. A theme may have more than one speaker involved, and will range from an introduction to the state-of-the-art for some topic(s) under it. In addition, there will be time for tutorials/discussion hours. Some special lectures may be accommodated as well. Srivastava (ISI, Kolkata), Agatha Walczak-Typke (University of Vienna) SPATIAL REASONING: Guram Bezhanishvili (New Mexico State University) - tentative ---=== CALL FOR PARTICIPATION ===--- Graduate students with a basic background and rich interest in Logic are welcome to apply. Active researchers and teachers of the subject may apply as well. Indian students will be reimbursed travel fare. A small number of travel grants will be available for other Indian participants in need of them. Details about application procedure will be put up soon on this page. The deadline for receiving applications by the ASL is October 14, 2007. There are no registration fees for the school, and local hospitality will be provided to all.
