Razborov and Rudich receive 2007 G? Prize

ACM GROUP AWARDS 2007 GDEL PRIZE

The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)'s Special Interest Group on
Algorithms and Computing Theory (SIGACT) has awarded the 2007 Gdel Prize to
Alexander A. Razborov and Steven Rudich, who developed a rare finding to
address the P vs. NP problem. Rudich is an associate professor of computer
science at Carnegie Mellon University and an editor of the Journal of
Cryptology. Razborov is a mathematician, computational theorist and leading
researcher at the Russian Academy of Science Steklov Mathematical Institute
in Moscow, and an editor of the journal Theoretical Computer Science. The
prize will be presented at the ACM Symposium on Theory of Computing, June
11-13, in San Diego, CA. For more information see the ACM news release at
