The University of Texas at Arlington (UT Arlington), Computer Science
and Engineering (CSE) Department invites applications for tenure-track
and tenured faculty positions in the following areas:
Intelligent Systems / Robotics, Bioinformatics/Biomedical Computing,
Systems (Computer Architecture/FPGA/Embedded Systems), and Theory.
Exceptionally strong candidates in Algorithms, Applied and Basic Theory
are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in computer science,
computer engineering, or a closely related field and a commitment to
teaching and scholarly research. Applicants are expected to have an
excellent record of professional accomplishments, commensurate with
their level of experience. The faculty opening is anticipated for
September 2007. Screening of applications will begin immediately and

The CSE Department is committed to undertaking strong initiatives to
achieve excellence and combine basic research with interdisciplinary
applications. We are particularly seeking andidates who have demonstrated
success in interdisciplinary collaborations.

CSE is the largest department within a very diverse and rich College
of Engineering at UTA. The University is located just 20 minutes south
of DFW airport and within 30 minutes from four other major universities
in the Dallas Metroplex area.

The CSE is a department characterized by its very active and visible
faculty, a friendly and vibrant community of collaborators within and
outside of the college, and a welcoming and nourishing atmosphere
where teaching and research quality are the main aims.

We at CSE@UTA are committed to excellence in research, teaching, and service.
We are in the sixth year of our "Top 25 Initiative" plan to reach a national
top 25 ranking within 10 years. The initiative is strongly supported by
all CSE@UTA stakeholders including the UT Arlington administration,
faculty, students and alumni, and industry partners. Since 2000, we have
added 13 new tenure track faculty and 5 new full-time non-tenure track
