Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Algorithms and Complexity Theory

Applications are invited for one or more postdoctoral fellowships in
the areas of Algorithms and Complexity Theory. Strong candidates in
other theoretical areas are also encouraged to apply.

Fellowships will be held in the School of Computing Science, Simon Fraser
University, Vancouver, British Columbia. These positions are offered in
conjunction with the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences
(PIMS). PIMS postdocs are awarded by competition within the Institute. The
annual stipend for PIMS postdocs is not less than Cdn $40,000 (inclusive of
benefits). The candidate may teach a one-semester course for an additional
stipend. Travel funds may also be allocated on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. at the time they take up the position. The
award is tenable for one year with a strong possibility of renewal for a
second year. The candidate may begin a position any time between April 1,
2007 and January 1, 2008. All interested candidates are encouraged to visit

The School of Computing Science currently has about 200 graduate
students and over 50 research faculty.  Simon Fraser University is
situated on Burnaby Mountain in Greater Vancouver. Vancouver is a
