CWI (Centrum voor Wiskunde en Informatica) invites applications for a
(tenure-track) research position on Algorithmic Game Theory, within the
research theme PNA1 'Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization' of the
CWI Department 'Probability, Networks and Algorithms'.

CWI is the national research institute for mathematics and computer
science in the Netherlands, located in Amsterdam (see http://www.cwi.nl).
The PNA1 team performs fundamental and applied research in combinatorics,
optimization, algorithmics and complexity. Focal points include
combinatorial optimization, constraint, integer and semidefinite
programming, graph and matroid theory, networks, computational molecular
biology, geometric and algebraic techniques in combinatorics and, more
recently, algorithmic game theory. For more information see:
http://www.cwi.nl/pna1

The vacant position is created in the context of the national research
network 'DIAMANT', which stands for "Discrete, Interactive, and
Algorithmic Mathematics, Algebra and Number Theory". This includes
research groups at three Dutch universities and at the CWI. See details at
http://www.win.tue.nl/diamant/

Profile: The applicant is an independant researcher with a demonstrated
record of international top-quality fundamental research in algorithmics,
mathematics and/or computer science. Preference will be given to
candidates with special expertise in algorithmic game theory as it is our
intention to strengthen this research area in our team. The applicant also
has the intention and ability to search for project funding, and to
eventually build up a research group.
