Announcement: Philosophical Logic Journal diamond open-access with OLH

Dear Colleagues,

On the occasion of International Open Access Week: https://www.openaccessweek.org/ (Oct. 19-25), we are writing to you as the editorial team of Philosophical Logic: https://www.philosophical-logic.org/, a new diamond open-access journal published by the Open Library of Humanities (OLH).

Last December, the Editors-in-Chief, Associate Editors, and Advisory Board resigned from the Journal of Philosophical Logic to launch this new venue. In taking this step, we joined a growing number of scholarly communities, alongside other journals, seeking to move academic publishing towards non-profit models. This movement emphasizes a very important feature of academic publishing: it is the collective commitment of authors, editors, and referees, who contribute their time and expertise without remuneration, that essentially makes scholarly journals function.

Within this framework, our goal is simple and clear: to ensure that research in logic and philosophy circulates freely, as it already does in many other fields, from linguistics to mathematics. Ten months after its launch, Philosophical Logic is now fully operational, adheres to the highest standards of peer review, and is completely free for both authors and readers.

We warmly invite you to support this shared endeavour. We encourage you to submit your work, help us spread the word, and join us in fostering a more accessible and equitable ecosystem for logical and philosophical research.

Best regards,

The Editors of Philosophical Logic
