CfA: PhD Scholarship in Mathematical and Computational Logic (Semiring Semantics and Databases), University of Queensland (Australia), start: second half of 2027

A PhD scholarship in (mathematical/computational) logic is available at the University of Queensland (Australia) as part of the Australian Research Council Future Fellowship "Logics for Quantitative Reasoning" awarded to Guillermo Badia. The successful candidate will be co-supervised jointly with Carles Noguera (University of Siena) and Val Tannen (University of Pennsylvania). The research topic will be in the area of logics with semiring semantics and databases. The candidate should start in the second half of 2027.

The  living stipend will be $39,220 per annum tax free (2026 rate), indexed annually with  Single Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). The  duration is 3.5 years with the possibility of one 6 months extension.
