CfA: 10 PhD Positions in Research Methods in Science and Technology, University of Urbino (Italy), deadline: 9 June 2026

The University of Urbino is now accepting applications for the Ph.D. Programme in "Research Methods in Science and Technology".
The call offers 10 funded PhD positions, including 2 positions reserved for candidates holding foreign qualifications.
The PhD Program in Research Methods in Science and Technology is an innovative and interdisciplinary doctoral course focused on the foundational principles and methodological tools of scientific research. These are approached from a cross-disciplinary perspective and applied to specific research projects.
The program is organized around four thematic areas, allowing PhD candidates to deepen their training and develop research projects of national and international relevance.
One of these thematic areas is Physics and Its Foundations - covering the fields of Physical Sciences, as well as Historical, Philosophical, and Pedagogical Sciences, corresponding to ERC sectors PE2, PE9, and SH4.
Research projects in Logic, Philosophy of Science, and History of Science are welcome.

The deadline for applications is June 9, 2026.
