The position is in the the field of AI and the self defined project must be focusing on and collaborating with one of the ongoing AI research activities in the department, including but not limited to trustworthy and responsible artificial intelligence systems. The postdoc will become part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and inclusive team as a member of one of the department's research groups. See more here https://www.uib.no/en/infomedia/ai

Related to the subject of the mailing list, there is the Logic and AI group https://www4.uib.no/en/research/research-groups/research-group-for-logics-and-ai , where we conduct research on logics for multi-agent systems, including epistemic and dynamic logics, logics for strategic reasoning, as well as machine ethics and planning. 

The postdoc will also be associated with the interdisciplinary LEAD AI project at UiB, funded by The European Research Council.

The Department of Information Science and Media Studies conducts interdisciplinary research in artificial intelligence including artificial intelligence foundational research, computer science, computational linguistics, data science, information science, information systems, human computer interaction, as well as media studies, audience studies, journalism, rhetorics, and media aesthetics. 

Applicants are required to familiarise themselves with the research profile of at least one of the InfoMedia research groups.

LEAD AI is the University of Bergen's career and mobility fellowship program for training 19 postdoctoral fellows in artificial intelligence. The program has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the Marie Skodowska-Curie Grant Agreement No. 101126560.
