Call for Papers

Original papers are solicited in all areas of unconventional computation.  
Papers dealing with theory as well as with experiments and applications
are welcome. Typical, but not exclusive, topics are: natural computing
including quantum, cellular, molecular, neural and evolutionary computing;  
chaos and dynamical systems based computing; and various proposals for
computations that go beyond the Turing model.

Submissions: 12 March 2006

Notification: 10 May 2006

CRC: 30 May 2006

Submissions: Authors are invited to submit papers (at most 12 pages)  
electronically to the conference secretary M.J. Dinneen at
cdmtcs@gmail.com. All submissions are expected to be in PDF format. Joint
submissions to other conferences are not permitted. Each accepted paper
must be presented at the conference. The proceedings will be published by
Springer LNCS series.

Invited Speakers: E. Winfree (Caltech), D. Woods (University College
Cork). Others to be announced.

Conference History

The first venue of the Unconventional Computation Conference (formerly
called Unconventional Models of Computation) was Auckland, New Zealand in
1998; subsequent sites of the conference were Brussels, Belgium in 2000,
Kobe, Japan in 2002, and Sevilla, Spain in 2005.
