Topics: knowledge representation, non-monotonic reasoning, artificial i
ntelligence

NMR 2024 is part of the 21st International Conference on Principles of Know
ledge Representation and Reasoning (KR2024), https://kr.org/KR2024/.

NMR is the premier forum for results in the area of nonmonotonic reasoning.
Its aim is to bring together active researchers in this broad field within
knowledge representation and reasoning (KRR), including belief revision, u
ncertain reasoning, reasoning about actions, planning, logic programming, p
references, deontic reasoning, argumentation, causality, and many other rel
ated topics including systems and applications (see NMR page, https://nmr.c
s.tu-dortmund.de/).

NMR has a long history - it started in 1984 and has been held every two yea
rs until 2020 and then every year. Recent previous NMR workshops were held
in Haifa (2022), Hanoi (virtual, 2021), in Rhodes (virtual, 2020), Tempe (2
018) and Cape Town (2016). Since 2020 NMR is being held annually.

NMR workshops are usually co-located with the KR conferences (kr.org).

As in previous editions, NMR 2024 aims to foster connections between the di
fferent subareas of nonmonotonic reasoning and provide a forum for emerging
topics. We especially invite papers on systems and applications, as well a
s position papers and papers addressing benchmark issues. The workshop will
be structured by topical sessions fitting to the scopes of accepted papers.

The workshop will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam, November 2-4, 2024. Workshop a
ctivities will include invited talks and presentations of technical papers.

-- Submission Information --

There are two types of submissions:

- Full papers: should be at most 10 pages including references, figures
and appendices, if any. Papers already published or accepted for publicatio
n at other conferences are also welcome, provided that the original publica
tion is mentioned in a footnote on the first page and the submission at NMR
falls within the authors' rights. In the same vein, papers under review fo
r other conferences can be submitted with a similar indication on their fro
nt page.

- Extended Abstracts: should be at most 3 pages (excluding references and a
cknowledgements). The abstracts should introduce work that has recently bee
n published or is under review, or ongoing research at an advanced stage. W
e highly encourage to attach to the submission a preprint/postprint or a te
chnical report. Such extra material will be read at the discretion of the r
eviewers. Submitting already published material may require a permission by
 the copyright holder.

All submissions should be formatted in CEUR style (2-column style) without
enabled header and footer. The author kit can be found at http://ceur-ws.or
g/Vol-XXX/CEURART.zip. Papers must be submitted in PDF only.

-- Workshop Proceedings --

The accepted papers will be made available electronically in the CEUR Works
hop Proceedings series (http://ceur-ws.org/). The copyright of papers remai
ns with the authors.
