Large Language Models & Natural Language Processing in Artificial Intelligence - LLMaNLPinAI 2024

Special Session within
the 16th International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence
24 - 26 February 2024
Rome, Italy

The major mode of ICAART 2024 is in-person. ICAART 2024 has additional hybrid support, which allows speakers to present remotely, if unable to travel to the venue

Computational and technological developments that incorporate natural language are proliferating. Adequate coverage encounters difficult problems related to partiality, underspecification, and context-dependency, which are signature features of information in nature and natural languages.

Increased power of hardware and software allows collection of large language sources, which require Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Large language models (LLM) are important for information processing.
LLM and NLP are interrelated and significant in AI.

The session covers theoretical work, applications, approaches, and techniques for computational models of information and its presentation by language (artificial, human, or natural in other ways). The goal is to promote computational systems of intelligent language processing and related models of information, language, reasoning, etc.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Computational Grammar
- Computational Models of Partiality, Underspecification, and Context-Dependency
- Computational Neuroscience of Language
- Computational Processing of Language in Various Specific Areas and Domains, e.g., in Medical Sciences, Healthcare, Law, Jurisdiction, Forensics, etc.
- Computational Syntax
- Computational Semantics of Natural Languages
- Computational Syntax-Semantics Interface

After thorough reviewing by the special session program committee, all accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book - under an ISBN reference and on digital support - and submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, Google Scholar, DBLP, Semantic Scholar, EI and Web of Science / Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/) and every paper is given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library

We expect a post-conference, post-proceedings Special Issue with extended publications based on selected papers presented at NLPinAI at ICAART 2021--2023 and LLMaNLPinAI24.

A book of selected works based on NLPinAI 2020 at ICAART 2020 is published:
