A meeting of MAMLS (Mid-Atlantic Mathematical Logic Seminar) devoted to recent
developments in the axiomatic approaches to the foundations of Nonstandard
Analysis and related topics will take place at City College of New York, 138th
St. and Convent Ave., New York, NY 10031.
The objective is to bring together some of the contributors in this area and
provide an overview of the current state of research.
MAMLS is supported by the National Science Foundation through a grant
administered via the CUNY Research Foundation. This meeting is also partially
supported by City College.

of City College, unless otherwise indicated.

Sylvia's
Dinner reservation has been made at Sylvia's ("The Queen of Soul Food" and a
Harlem institution; 328 Lenox Ave.). Please, inform the organizers by
Tuesday, November 28 that you intend to come, as the restaurant needs to know
the "exact" size of the party by then. The cost of the dinner is $23.36,
including tax and tip.
A party is planned after the dinner; the details will be announced at the
conference.

Getting to City College:
The recommended way:
-- Take the #1 or #9 subway train to 137th Street and Broadway (City College
stop). Walk East along 138th Street, to Amsterdam Avenue and continue into the
College (through the gate), down to Convent Avenue. Turn right on Convent
Avenue and walk through the plaza on your right into the NAC (North Academic
Center) entrance.
Other possibilities:
-- A and D (express), or B and C (local): Take the subway train to 145th
Street and St. Nicholas Avenue. Walk West one block along 145th Street and
turn left at Convent Avenue, then walk along Convent Avenue for several blocks
to 138th Street. NAC is the large gray new building on your right.
-- #4/#5/#6: Take the subway train to 125th Street and Lexington Avenue.
Change to the M-100/101 bus to Amsterdam Avenue and 138th Street. Go into the
College (through the gate), down to Convent Avenue. Turn right on Convent
Avenue and walk through the plaza on your right into the NAC (North Academic
Center) entrance.
By train (Metro North):
Take the train to 125th Street and Lexington Avenue. Change to the M-100/101
bus to Amsterdam Avenue and 138th Street. Go into the College (through the
gate), down to Convent Avenue. Turn right on Convent Avenue and walk through
the plaza on your right into the NAC (North Academic Center) entrance.
By car:
-- Please, contact the organizers if you plan to drive to City College and
need help.
Accommodations:
Unfortunately accommodations in Manhattan are in short supply and VERY
expensive, especially before Christmas. We strongly recommend you to make
reservations immediately. Of course there are many high quality hotels in NYC
to choose from (consider around $250 or more per night). The hotels listed
below are probably among the least expensive available, around $100 per night.
Some have shared bathrooms. One could cut expenses further by sharing a room.

Support for graduate students:
It is the policy of MAMLS to reimburse graduate students a flat amount of $25.
