ILLC Table Tennis Tournament

Once again the title of ILLC Table Tennis Champion is Nick’s! After an exhausting tournament, Nick managed to win a thrilling final and ensure the trophy to the Institute. The tournament held by Ex Falso saw many professors as participants: Robert van R. (Philosophical Logic), Ronald de H. (Computational Complexity) and Nick B. (Modal Logic & Mathematical Structures). Since no one represented the Linguistic track word on the street is that Structure for Semantics will be removed substituted by Nick’s TTACL: ‘Table Tennis, Algebra and Categories in Logic’. Some students complain that there was not enough time to train. Ex Falso strongly suspects that the master is demanding precisely so that Professors win. At last we want to express our disappointment for the MoL student: mainly because of the two crates of beers only one was finished. Also… we organised a tournament but still have not managed to win one, the curse continues (check Giuliano’s face to understand the feel). Congratulation to Yvette: the only student who got in the semifinal. Other honourable mentions are the finalist Soumen (Nikhef employee) and semi finalist Carl (CWI employee). We hope to see you at the next events.

Love, The Ex Falso team
