Early Career Research Fellowship (4y) in History & Philosophy of Science, Cambridge (England), Deadline: 10 Jan 2019

Applications are invited for one Stipendiary Early Career Research 
Fellowship at Corpus Christi College Cambridge tenable for four years from 
1 October 2019.

The Research Fellowship is open to graduates of any university who on 1 
October 2019 will have completed not more than five years of research. This 
year applications will be considered in the following fields: History; 
Philosophy; History and Philosophy of Science; and History of Art.

The stipend will be in the range of £19,600 to £22,000. Early Career 
Research Fellows are permitted to teach up to six hours per week for 
additional renumeration. A Research Fellow is expected to pursue learning 
and research in their chosen field and publish the results. Early Career 
Research Fellowships are intended primarily as the first post-doctoral 
appointment for promising researchers.

Applications are due by noon on Thursday 10 January 2019.

Applicants should provide a curriculum vitae with details of the 
applicant's education record and any publications; an academic transcript; 
together with a statement of not more than 1,000 words outlining present 
and proposed research; and the names and contact details of two referees 
familiar with the applicant's work.

Reference requests should be sent from the CASC Fellowship Application 
System to the two referees, who will be asked to upload their references by 
the same date (noon on Thursday 10 January 2019).

Selected candidates will be invited to submit two copies of written work 
before the end of January 2019. This work need not be in its final form, 
but must provide evidence of outstanding originality and promise. 
Interviews are expected to take place in the week commencing Monday 25 
February 2019.
