[ECSQARU 2017] Last Call for Papers (deadline extended to March 20)

http://ecsqaru.idsia.ch

The 14th European Conference on Symbolic and Quantitative Approaches to
Reasoning with Uncertainty (ECSQARU 2017) will be held in Lugano
(Switzerland), on July 10-14, 2017, jointly with the 10th International
Symposium on Imprecise Probability: Theories and Applications (ISIPTA
'17).

Possible topics include, but are not limited to: algorithms for uncertain
inference, argumentation systems, automated planning and acting, Bayesian
networks and causal networks, belief functions, belief revision and
merging, classification and clustering, decision theory and graphs,
default reasoning, description logics with uncertainty, empirical studies
of algorithms, foundations of reasoning, fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic, game
theoretic agents, implementation and applications of uncertain systems,
imprecise probabilities, inconsistency handling, information fusion,
learning for uncertainty formalisms, logics for reasoning under
uncertainty, Markov decision processes, probabilistic logics, possibility
theory and possibilistic logic, preferences, rough sets, semantic web and
uncertainty, uncertainty in databases, uncertainty & data integration,
uncertainty and data mining, decision making under uncertainty.

We invite submissions for long (up to 10 pages) and short papers (up to 6
pages).

Papers must be submitted electronically through Easychair.
http://www2.idsia.ch/cms/isipta-ecsqaru/

All accepted papers (long or short) will be published electronically in
the Springer Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence subseries (LNCS
series). Each submission will be reviewed by peers using a single-blind
process. All accepted papers will be presented at the conference. At least
one of the paper's authors should register and attend the conference to
present the work.

After the conference, a special issue with a selection of the accepted
papers will be published in an expanded version in the International
Journal of Approximate Reasoning.

We also invite applications for the Springer Young Researcher Award. The
prize, granted by Springer, will be awarded to one young researcher for
excellent research in fields related to the ECSQARU scope. The award is
open to Master students, PhD students and young post-doc researchers who
have received their PhD in 2016 (or 2017). Applicants should have
submitted a paper (not necessarily as first authors) to ECSQARU 2017.
Applications should be received by the paper submission deadline.

Invited speakers will be: Leila Amgoud, Alessio Benavoli, Jim Berger,
Didier Dubois, and Eyke Hüllermeier.
