JOB DESCRIPTION

The Centre for Logic and Analytic Philosophy at KU Leuven invites
applications for one full-time position at either doctoral or postdoctoral
level as part of a research project on

KNOWLEDGE FIRST VIRTUE EPISTEMOLOGY

which is funded by a KU Leuven OT and an FWO grant (PI: Christoph Kelp) and
will run until 2017/18.

DURATION: 3 years (PhD) or 2 years (Postdoc)
STARTING DATE: October 1, 2015.

The candidate will be part of the Leuven Epistemology Group and will work on
topics related to the project. (For further information about the project

At present, two postdoctoral researchers and one PhD student are working on
the project. Additional hires at doctoral and postdoctoral level are expected.

The members of the research group will work closely together and are
expected to actively contribute to the project and to activities at Leuven
Epistemology Group and the Centre for Logic and Analytic Philosophy.

Qualifications
The candidate must have obtained a master?s level degree in philosophy
before taking up the position

Qualifications
The candidate must have obtained a PhD in philosophy before taking up the
position. His/her area of specialisation should include epistemology
(preferably: virtue epistemology and/or knowledge first epistemology).

THE RESEARCH UNIT AND GROUP

The Centre for Logic and Analytic Philosophy (CLAW) is one of five research
units in philosophy at KU Leuven. At present it counts 7 senior members of
staff, 6 postdocs and 6 PhD students among its members. The Centre hosts a
bi-weekly research seminar and various workshops and conferences. For more

The Leuven Epistemology Group (LEG) is a growing research group within CLAW.
