Workshop in honor of HANS KAMP

A workshop in honor of Hans KAMP will be held on the occasion of the
award of a Doctor Honoris Causa degree from the University of Lorraine.
Hans Kamp (Johan Anthony Willem Kamp) is a Dutch philosopher, linguist
and logician. His work in formal semantics, most notably his Discourse
Representation Theory, is widely used both in linguistics and in natural
language processing.
The workshop will focus on discourse semantics, especially on issues of
its structure and dynamics, based on DRT.
The workshop will be held in the International Room of the MSH-Lorraine.
Talks will be in English.
The workshop is organised by Archives Poincar, LORIA and ATILF, and it is
supported by MSH-Lorraine, Universit de Lorraine, CNRS and INRIA.
There is no fees, but you need to be registered.

Un sminaire en l'honneur de Hans KAMP se tiendra Nancy l'occasion
de la remise du titre de Doctor Honoris Causa de l'Universit de Lorraine.
Hans Kamp (Johan Anthony Willem Kamp) est un philosophe, linguiste,
et logicien nerlandais. Ses travaux en smantique formelle et plus
particulirement sa thorie des reprsentations discursives (Discourse
Representation Theory) sont largement utiliss tant en linguistique qu'en
informatique dans le cadre du traitement automatique de la langue.
Le sminaire portera sur la smantique du discours, en particulier sur les
questions de structure et de dynamique, partir de la DRT.
Le sminaire se tiendra en salle internationale de la MSH-Lorraine.
Les prsentations seront faites en anglais.
Le sminaire est organis par les Archives Poincar, le LORIA et l'ATILF
et il est soutenu par la MSH-Lorraine, l'Universit de Lorraine, le CNRS
et l'INRIA.
La participation est libre mais l'inscription est obligatoire.
