Lecturers

? Lauri Hella (Tampere): Modal Dependence Logic
? Arnaud Durand (Paris): Computational aspects of dependence logic
? Phokion Kolaitis (Santa Cruz): Database dependencies

This master class is an annex to the international Academy Colloquium
"Dependence Logic", to be held in the Trippenhuis, Kloveniersburgwal 29,
1011 JV Amsterdam, on 3-5 March 2014.

You can register for the master class on 6 March 2014 by using the online
registration form on Academy's website (link above). Deadline is February
14, 2014.

Participation in the Academy Colloquium is restricted but free entrance is
reserved for a limited number of participants in the master class whose
proposal for presentation has been accepted.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Young researchers, PhD-students and research master students in dependence
logic or related fields are cordially invited to send a proposal (300
words) for a 20 minutes presentation of their research in the Academy
Colloquium (see above).

Although the colloquium will be focused on dependence logic, the scope of
the presentations is wider. Here other aspects of mathematical, computer
science and philosophical logic pertaining to dependence and independence
concepts or team semantics will be accepted as well. This includes but is
not limited to, inquisitive logic, modal dependence logic, database
dependencies, and statistical independence.

Please upload your proposal, together with a short cv by 14 February 2014.
Within one week you will be informed whether your presentation will be
accepted or not. Participation by master class participants at the Academy
Colloquium is restricted but free entrance is reserved for presenters of
accepted proposals.
