New York University Shanghai invites applications for a tenured or tenure 
track appointment with area of specialization in the philosophy of science 
or the history and philosophy of science. Candidates should hold the Ph.D. 
at the time of application. To ensure full consideration, applications 
should be submitted by October 1, 2013; applications received after that 
date may be reviewed until the position is filled. The expected starting 
date is August 1, 2014.

NYU Shanghai is the first Sino-US higher education joint venture to grant 
a degree that is accredited in the US as well as in China. A research

Faculty and students circulate within the network in pursuit of common

The terms of employment in NYU Shanghai are comparable to U.S. 
institutions. Faculty may also spend time at NYU New York and other sites 
of the global network, engaging in both research and teaching 
opportunities. Tenure/tenure-track faculty will also be affiliated with 
the New York University Department of Philosophy and/or with other 
suitable academic units at NYU New York.
